Use a hairdryer or heat gun to gently heat the self-adhesive window film. Hold the hairdryer at a lukewarm setting and move it back and forth over the film. The heat will soften the adhesive and make the film easier to release.
Once the film is warm, carefully begin removing it. Use a putty knife or other blunt tool to loosen the film from the window. Work from the corners, peeling the film off slowly and evenly.
After removing the film, there's a good chance some adhesive residue will remain on the window. Use glass cleaner and a soft cloth to wipe away the adhesive. You can also use a mild detergent.
